I know this is another simple post, but I wanted to get one more in before Christmas and New Year. Enjoy these cards - and I hope don't all feel like Sarah Elizabeth here: "All Out Of Energy".
It’s all about where you play, not how you play. Or something like that. Here are a few examples of the Location cards that can be played at anytime during the course of a game.
Locations are individual unto themselves, but each one also displays an icon that assigns its classification. Any other cards that have Location text on them will display an icon to help match them to the appropriate Location.
When a Location comes into play it affects each player’s strategy and game play. Just what that Location does to the game is noted on the card. Some Ambition cards require that the Models be present at a specific Location in order to complete the Ambition. That could be difficult since at this point in the games development I’m looking at a player being able to switch Locations whenever they choose to, provided that they have drawn a new Location from their resources.
Also, some Effect and Accessory cards can provide additional bonuses if they are in use at certain Locations.
I had been planning to try and post once a day in December. Maybe just post a single card each day...Oh no...FAIL.
Anyway, to try and make up for it here are some Accessory cards that I haven’t posted before. Even though this card game is a constant work in progress and I seem to come up with new ideas all the time (dunno if many of them are any good, but that is beside the point) and it’s always easier for me to make the card than it is to post it on this blog. Which is a pity, because I never intended for this to be a ‘for my eyes only’ card game.
I mentioned in an earlier post that I was extending the ‘lingerie’ class of Accessory. This has turned into a full blown card release unto itself. I’ve already added way more cards than I first anticipated, so I’ve come up with the cunning plan of having a sub-set release for this game that will only include the lingerie Accessories and any other cards that are associated with them. I’ll come up with a witty and descriptive name for that sub-set later.
As a foot note, the ‘official’ name for the set of cards I’ve been posting here is 2000. That covers models from 2000-2009. There will be 12 more models to add to the set (Playmates for 2009) and then the set will come to an end. Until then I’ll be adding more cards as I find inspiration.
Thanks to the meagre few who check in on this blog for sticking around. One day fame and fortune will find me, but I’ll settle for just fortune.
Well, since this is November and it’s been a month since my last post, I figured why not post all the November playmate model cards. And that’s what I’m doing. Original, no?
Since I’ve been going through the process of editing all my existing Model cards and at the same time thinking of ways to make the game more playable – I’ve been neglecting this blog. Shame on me! At least I haven’t been inundated with hate mail.
So, one of the new concepts I have come up with is an enhancement to the lingerie type Accessories. I’ve made them less powerful but have added more of them. They now also come in sets. Models will be able to earn extra points if they are wearing a matching bra and panties set or whatever lingerie treats I can find. There will be Ambition and Effect cards to support this new notion as well. When this concept is more fleshed out I will post cards and more information.
I thought this would be a good opportunity for me to post the level 2 and level 3 Trait Charge cards. I’ve already posted the level 1 value cards. The Trait Charge cards are placed on an Active model to enable her to challenge another model using that trait charge value. So, why would you bother with having to play specific cards on a model, just so she can challenge? She can challenge already using her Desire versus the other models Resolve. Well, a trait based challenge will always inflict two slaps if it succeeds, and it’s either against the opponent models Resolve or (if they have it) the same Trait value. Trait Charges also come into play when a model receives an Extra Trait card. These cards often require a number of Trait Charges before they can be effective. Your model will burn off Trait Charges when she uses some Extra Trait abilities or if she chooses to challenge using her traits. Don’t worry - unlike normal discards, Trait Charges don’t go to a discard pile after use. They go to a discharge pile and will be recycled when your draw pile is depleted.
Here is a list of the trait charge names: Beauty Pretty Beauty Gorgeous Beauty Exquisite Busty Curves Busty Stacked Busty Voluptuous Fashion Trendy Fashion Chic Fashion Stylish Flirting Teasing Flirting Playful Flirting Enticing Intel Clever Intel Quick Intel Sharp Modelling Perfect Pose Modelling Statuesque Modelling Flawless Physique Fit Physique Toned Physique Athletic Sexiness Charming Sexiness Charismatic Sexiness Temptress
This blog is dedicated to the amazing women of Playboy magazine, whom I have managed to merge and mangle into a collectable card game. A game where you get to control the ambitions of the models in their quest to become to last model standing!
